How to find the Location of a person chatting on yahoo messenger?

Is it possible to know the Country or city from where the person is chatting with you on yahoo messenger, without asking him/ her?

    only if they provided it in their profile. If you have the real name go to http://www.namesdatabase.com

    1st you have to have an Internet Explorer window open.
    If in Messenger and you are currently chatting with him/her:
    A. Open conversation window with that contact
    B. Click on “Actions.”
    C. Click on “Contact Options.”
    D. Click on “View Profile.”

    If he/she is on your list of contacts in Messenger:
    A. RIGHT click on name
    B. LEFT click on “View Profile.”

    Some people DO put incorrect information in their profiles, and some post “blank” profiles.

    look, it’s wrong. if you want to know this, then ask them. why do you feel a need to be secretive? this does not sound legitimate.
