How Can I view all the messages of chatting that are saved in Yahoo Messenger?

I have activated the save option of the messeges during chatting in the Messenger. I found some DAT file in the Arcieve file of the Messneger list. But they are not playing through any media player. So how can I able to view the past messages of chatting? Please try to reply me soon.

    Go to the “Contacts” menu in messenger and select “Message Archive”
