I think that chatting should be redefined. Perhaps a two way exchange of thoughts with a response is more of a real definition of what “chatting is. Agree?

i totally agree. one time i put “what is the weirdest question you’ve seen?” and i even put it in the polls section.
yahoo answers considers practically everything a chat, and some losers just report questions for the helluv it.
one of the many “glitches” in yahoo! answers?

U can’t say which is ‘better’. I use both as i have friends on both.
Though msn does have a lot of more addons, and does seem like fun to me.

No……….you can like or even admire or want to meet the person who seems to be so wonderful, but 85% of what’s said in a face to face conversation isn’t words, it’s facial expressions, body language, non verbal cues.

There’s no possible way to “know” someone simply from the internet, so falling in love is even more ridiculous.

Unless you meet in person, you can’t know them, without knowing someone, what are you’re chances of falling in love?

Zero!

It’s certainly possible to meet someone on the net that you COULD fall in love with, but that’s not the same thing.

Yeah skype is free and i am pretty sure it works on macs it doesn’t work on my mac but i have an eMac which is ancient so anything newer than an eMac should work for skype

Question by Maria: Why wont my microphone work when im chatting on Window live?
When I got the microphone, a week ago, it worked as soon as I plugged it to my computer. Now when Im chatting with someone, my camera works and we can see each other, but my mic wont work. Do I have to prompt it somehow or what? How can the other people hear me. Please help. I want my daughter to see and hear and talk to her dad who is 8000 miles away. Thank you guys!

go to actions at the top of messenger list ..then click on call set up …there you can test for voice and sound to see if all is working

get a fanisty bball baseball or football team or prehaps hockey or some other sport that is offered, check sports or just keep doing what you do becuase AIM and facebook are pretty fun but can get boring

I don’t, but there’s a difference between personal experience of another person and factual research. I’ve spoken to my vet a number of times about what to expect when my dog gets spayed tomorrow, because she’s my first female dog. I’ve also spoken to my mother-in-law and on here.

People don’t live or die by what they read here (I hope) but getting advice from a person is nice sometimes.

As for the actual facts, some people ask a question only to have an answer validate what they want to do or hear or have already done. These people would do the same thing if they asked their family or doctor for advise and got an answer they didn’t like.
