Now it is telling me I must sign into chat in order to do so. I select Available from the chat options but it still says the same thing. Please help me. Best answer: Answer by musicseawaterYou don’t tell us if it’s a Messenger Chat or the chat from your Mail page and it does make a difference. From the Mail page, you select available, then click on the person you want to reach, if it’s someone you’ve never chatted with before, then you have to add that person’s e-address If it’s a chat to a telephone, surely you understand why a number is needed there, right?
